Meet Mabel the chief reviewer
Mabel is a rescued staffy cross who is currently 2 and a half years old. She tests all the products that we write about and gives her opinion on if her experience was paws-itive!
Mabel loves :-
- Playtime. Tug of war is a favourite!
- Eating anything except lettuce
- Going for walks in Halifax and sniffing everything on her lead
- Going to the dog friendly places like Filey and Hornsea to play on the beach
- Sleeping. Whilst we are working.
- Saying hello to other animals like all the dogs at Yappy Days doggy day care or other animals at Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park
She was originally called “Raspberry” when we brought her home from the Leeds Dogs Trust in November 2023. However, we didn’t fancy shouting that out in the park.
I’m one of Mabel’s owners, a first time 32 year old dog owner called Ashley Graham (not the plus size model) or “Dog dad”. I started this blog to help first time dog owners. Our reviews are different because they are not small thin blog posts. They are detailed, answer most questions and are from our lived experience off buying products and not just reading specification sheets.
